DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care process that promotes continuity of care.

Assist Physician with all invasive procedures.

Monitors patients ECG, hemodynamic pressures and alerts the patient care team of changes.

Operate multi-channel physiologic recorders, digital data recorders, oximeters, injectors, recorders, emergency and all related electrical and mechanical equipment necessary for all procedures.

Report all malfunctions to supervisor/coordinator immediately.

Perform scrub and monitor role during invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

Provide care for patients receiving mechanical ventiliation and IABP.

Assist in circulator&apos;s role as needed.

Remove arterial and venous sheaths and acheives hemostasis using manual and c-clamp pressure.

Provide patient care in coordination with team members.

Assures clear, effective communication regarding patient care.

Identifies and interprets cardiac rhythms, recognizes lethal arrhythmias and provides interventions based on pre-established protocols.

3.     Position patients for X-ray procedures on X-ray table by physically lifting and placing patients on table with co-worker assistance as required.
4.     Assist Physicians with applying and removing casts and stitches as directed.

6.     Maintain, monitor and order X-ray/medical supplies as needed.
7.     Perform treatment room maintenance after each patient to include:
- disposing of medical waste as required by OSHA

We are currently seeking Certified Central Sterile Tech with more than 1 year working experience as a Certified Central Sterile Tech in a multiple specialty surgery environment, CST preferred, with an ASHCSP certification required. DUTIES &amp;amp; RESPONSIBILITIES


Decontamination of Instruments:
Hand was instruments as documented by procedure
Operate washer / disinfectors, ultrasonic and pasteurmatic
Decontaminate equipment for O.R., Physicians, Respiratory Care, and other departments.  

Sterilizer Management
Responsible for daily testing of all sterilizers.
Tests each sterilizer with steam load: mechanical, chemical, biological indicators.
Maintains records of items sterilized and tests the outcomes.
 Properly operates the sterilizer cycles and sterilizes all instruments required

Instrument Assembly
Inspects instruments carefully.
Assembles instruments into correct sets; packaging, wrapping and placing in containers.
Has efficient turn-around of instruments for subsequent surgical cases.

Implants
Inventories implant sets and replaces implants from stocked supply.
Documents the implants that are replaced.
Documents the implants that are needed.
Inspects implants, returns back-stock and replaces sets upon receiving order.
Assembles re-useable basin sets

Supplies
Inventories supplies 5 days per week
Enters orders into the computer
Appropriately stores supplies upon receipt
Makes OR runs for additional supply requests
Rotates and cleans stock in the OR and in CS.

Casecarts
Pulls supplies and instruments for scheduled surgeries and add-on cases
Maintains required number of emergency case carts
Utilizes computer generated, surgeon specific preference cards
Utilizes computer to access and print preference cards

        <description>On-Call VARIES Days        The Pharmacy Technician II routinely assists the pharmacist in the preparation, filling, and delivery of medications.  They serve as a liaison to assist in the appropriate and timely delivery of information and pharmaceutical products to the customer.  The successful candidate will have to demonstrate competencies during the orientation process.  They must demonstrate proficiency with Automated Dispensing Cabinets, CII Safe, Pharmacy computer system patient fills, and aseptic technique through validation for Intravenous (IV) preparation and compounding sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals during their probationary training period. Failure to demonstrate proficiency within 90 days will result in reclassification to Pharmacy Technician I or termination, as appropriate.
 
 Pharmacy Technician II requires 1 year of hospital experience. The candidate should be competent in preparing and compounding basic IV admixture solutions using aseptic technique.  More complex IV admixtures should be prepared by the Pharmacy Technician Specialist.
 
The Pharmacy Technician II must maintain their Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification at all times.  Failure to maintain certification and licensure with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
